Universal Suffrage

The difference in the interpretation of universal suffrage by China (including HK SAR) and that by the democrats are miles apart.
The version of the Chinese & HK Govt is according to the Basic Law, Article 45 states: The method for selecting the Chief Executive shall be specified in the light of actual situation …and in gradual and orderly process. The ultimate aim is …by universal suffrage by a nominating committee…
The democrats want one man one vote without a nominating committee, bordering on a full independent state.
China of course would not let this happen.
